Adopted 1/13/17. Original Posting Date: 11/24/16, Approximate Age: 4 months from date of posting. Hi, I'm Ivan. I am a Siamese-mix kitty with seal point coloring and blue eyes. I am playful, friendly, and gorgeous. However, I will need a special furever family. I have been diagnosed with feline herpes, and I will need monthly eye drops which cost about $30. It's possible that I will have a more frequent need for vet checkups (at least twice a year) and higher vet expenses than another pet, and a potential adopter will need to be prepared for that. An opthomologic specialist has examined my right eye, and although it isn't believed to be a problem at this time, no one can say for sure that it won't be in the future. I should not be in a home with more than 1 other cat, and not with an elderly cat or a cat with immune-system issues. A potential adopter will be interviewed thoroughly by our shelter personnel, must provide consistent vet records for other pets, and must be ok with the shelter checking on my progress periodically, because they care a lot about me and want the best situation for me. A reduced adoption fee does not apply to me, but if you can give me the care I need, I am totally worth it! I am tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Please come visit me.
